We currently have an opening for Pre-Construction Associate to work in our corporate office located in downtown Fayetteville, N.C. The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent writing skills, the ability to work well under tight deadlines, and real enthusiasm for producing winning proposals and bids. Candidate will be comfortable working independently and with a team of dedicated professionals in a fast-paced office environment.

Location: Fayetteville, NC

Security Clearance: Current Security Clearance or the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance 

Responsibilities:

  • Aids in producing proposals, presentations, and other written marketing material in response to formal and informal client solicitations, including RFQs, RFPs, and pitches
  • Briefs ownership team on pre-construction portion of proposal process
  • Assists in as needed with copyediting and other writing-related tasks
  • Performs services in a department/unit under direct supervision of management
  • Work with Project Managers and Engineers to develop productivity information for forward looking proposals and scheduling
  • Insert and price construction projects, assist in the build of a construction database
  • Attend weekly proposal and department meetings
  • Create project timelines using Smartsheet for preconstruction, procurement, and construction schedules
  • Review completed projects to identify real time production rates and adjust company cost data
  • This position is responsible for any of the following estimating duties which include but may not be limited to:
    • Price Analysis
    • Scheduling
    • Construction approach to compile estimate
    • Aid in proposal writing

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of training and working experience
  • 3-5 years in the construction industry
  • Construction Management preferred but not required
  • Ability to travel as needed 10 % of the time
