Construction Project Manager

Strategic Solutions Unlimited, Inc. SSU is currently recruiting for a Construction Project Manager.  The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successful project management in the construction industry, demonstrating strong leadership, strategic planning, and execution skills. They should have a comprehensive understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and regulatory requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive project plans aligned with organizational goals and construction industry best practices.
  • Define project scopes, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations.
  • Provide effective leadership to construction project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  • Cultivate strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and efficient coordination.
  • Oversee the execution of construction projects within the program, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
  • Implement effective project management methodologies to drive successful project completion.
  • Manage project budgets, monitoring expenditures, and ensuring financial accountability.
  • Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to track and report on budgetary aspects of the construction program.
  • Implement and maintain stringent quality assurance processes to uphold construction industry standards.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety awareness within the construction program.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the construction program, identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Implement best practices and lessons learned to refine program management processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • Proven experience in project management within the construction industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
  • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a focus on achieving program objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in client relationship management, ensuring client satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly.
  • Budget management expertise, including monitoring expenditures and financial accountability.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, with a particular emphasis on Procore.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring successful program outcomes.
  • Commitment to quality assurance and safety compliance within the construction program.
  • Continuous improvement mindset, with a proactive approach to refining program management processes.
  • Procore, MS Office, Primavera P6, MS Project, RMS, Prolog, Bluebeam, Smartsheet Certifications
  • Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO) w/30 Hour OSHA, Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), QCM or ISO 9001

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Ability to travers construction jobsites, climb ladders, and perform duties as a construction project manager.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
